1. What this policy covers
YouQaria includes a mobile app with prayer, Quran, learning, subscription, and account features, plus a public website with contact forms, legal pages, and marketing content. This policy explains what data we process, why we process it, and what choices you have.
2. Data we collect and why
A. Account and sign-in information
If you create or use an account, we process information such as your email address, display name, and authentication provider details. We use Supabase to authenticate accounts, keep you signed in, and support cloud-connected features.
B. Location data
If you grant location permission, the app uses your approximate or precise location to calculate prayer times, show Qibla direction, and help with nearby masjid features. We do not sell your location data, and we do not request background location permission in the app.
C. Microphone and speech recognition
Some pronunciation practice features request microphone and speech-recognition access so the app can listen for Arabic letter practice and provide feedback. We do not describe these features as cloud voice storage, and we do not use them for advertising.
D. Purchases and subscriptions
YouQaria Pro purchases and subscription status are managed through RevenueCat and the relevant app-store billing platform. Payment-card details are handled by the store or payment provider, not entered into the app directly by us. We receive subscription and entitlement status needed to unlock paid features and show subscription management screens.
E. Advertising
The mobile app currently integrates banner ads for users who do not have an active Pro entitlement, and the website can load advertising scripts after cookie consent. Advertising providers may receive technical information such as device or browser details, IP address, and basic interaction data to serve or measure ads. We do not claim that YouQaria is ad-free.
F. Analytics and crash reporting
The app integrates Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Sentry-style telemetry for diagnostics. In the mobile app, analytics and crash reporting are disabled by default until the user enables them through the app's privacy settings. The website also uses cookies or local storage for consent and user experience preferences and may load analytics or advertising scripts based on consent choices.
G. Website contact and support messages
If you contact us through the website or by email, we process the information you provide, such as your name, email address, subject, and message, so we can respond to you.
3. How we use data
We use data to operate the app and website, authenticate users, provide location-based religious features, process purchases, show or suppress ads based on entitlement state, diagnose crashes, respond to support requests, and improve reliability.
4. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal data. We share data only as needed with service providers that help us run YouQaria, such as Supabase for authentication, RevenueCat and app stores for subscriptions, Google advertising services for ads, and analytics or crash reporting providers when those tools are enabled.
5. Retention, deletion, and your choices
Much of the app's religious and preference data stays on your device unless you use account-linked features. You can revoke permissions at the device level and disable analytics or crash reporting from the app's privacy settings. If you are signed in, the app's Delete Account Data option signs you out, clears local data, and requests deletion of linked remote records on a best-effort basis. If you need help with account deletion or a data request, see our Delete Account page or contact us and we will work with you on the request.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network transport where supported, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
